I guess my tastes in music are omni-musical. There isn't a style of music that I can't get into. I can always find something in the music that I can latch onto. So doing a first CD, with only one style of music represented, would not represent me. All the music on this CD is me. Depending on the day or hour I could be listening to anyone from George Clinton, to Miles Davis, to Ravi Shankar, to Shostakovich, to Tupac etc...

Herbert Smith (trumpet) Herb Smith is the third trumpet with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a graduate of The Eastman School of Music and began playing in the orchestra after he graduated in 91’. He works with students through the Young Audiences of America and Rochester City School District Artist in Residence program.
